I'm trying to install APB on Windows Server 2012 without success.

This is normally due to a corrupt .NET installation on the machine you are trying to install on - please try to repair or re-install the .NET Framework package on the server, then try installing Altaro Physical Server Backup again. 


Ensure that .NET 4.7 and it's latest updates are installed too.

Is .NET 4.7 mandatory or can I use .NET 4.8?


Yes, you can make use of .NET 4.8 too.

I have the same problem.

Installed on a Server 2016 with Terminalserver Role

in the log it looks like it is waiting for the webserver plugin to start. Is it possible that there is confligt with IIS which is also running on the machine or is it possible hat the program has problems with multihomed hosts?

Where can I change the configuration fo the webserver plugin?

Did you get the postings with the logs? I posted it, and the message "waiting for the post to show up until the moderator gives his ok".... But now, two days did go by and the post did not appear?

Could you generate an error report so we can diagnose this issue further for you. In order to generate an error report for Altaro Physical Backup you would need to browse to C:\Program Files\Altaro\Altaro Physical Server Backup\ and run Altaro.PhysicalBackup.ErrorReportingTool.exe. That'll generate an error report. 


You can email the file over to support@altaro.com, if the file is over 20MB in size, you can use www.wetransfer.com to upload the file and send us the download link.

Since the installation does not complete, and if canceled will make a rollback, there is just nearly nothing in the program folder. The only logs which can be found are inside the %programdata%\altaro folder. And from several of these I copied the (most likely) interesting parts.

Your Error reporting tool will (just a guess) just do the same. 

Why do you think additional information is neded? And if yes, where do I find it?

Can you ZIP up all logging in the ProgramData folder and send them over please, as I'd like to pass them on to our devs.
